Poster Reveal for Quiet Waters Park’s 30th Anniversary

While celebratory events were scheduled to celebrate the anniversary, the Coronavirus had other ideas and they were placed on hold. However, today, the Anne Arundel County County Executive Steuart Pittman and Director of Recreation and Park, Rick Anthony presided over the unveiling of a commemorative poster by a local artist to mark the occasion.

The magnificent poster highlights the unique features of the park and was created by local artist, Joe Barsin.  Joe’s work is prevalent throughout the Mid-Atlantic region to include his Maryland “Treasure the Chesapeake” license plate and art for Anne Arundel Medical Center’s Fish for a Cure, Annapolis Film Festival, Downtown Annapolis Partnership and more. Eye on Annapolis: Legacy Business Spotlight on Citizen Pride / JEB Design, Inc.

We were honored to be interviewed by John Frenaye of Eye on Annapolis for the Legacy Business Spotlight.

The creative juices started flowing back at Kent State University where Joe and Eva Barsin met. Now nearly 30 years later the duo is known all across Maryland for the unique art of Citizen Pride and JEB Design. You have seen their work on the car in front of you (Chesapeake Bay Plate), at the Annapolis Film Festival, The Eastport Yacht Club Lights Parade, and countless businesses in the area including Mother’s Peninsula Grille. We explore their start working for “the man” to venturing out on their own, surviving a recession and what’s in store for the future.

Hey..wait...that's MY artwork you have there. Copyright chat with Joe Barsin of JEB Design (E-98)

Imagine seeing a local company sporting a great new logo only to discover that it is composed of your original artwork and was sold to the local company by a foreign firm. #Pissed
With the USNA vs Nike/Undefeated crest war, we reached out to Joe Barsin to learn his thoughts. And we learned a LOT more! He has had his work stolen a number of times and he knows how to combat it. No lawyers are involved. From electric boats to cornhole sets.  Have a listen and definitely check out Joe Barsin from Citizen Pride and JEB Design!
Real fun episode at Mother's Peninsula Grille in Arnold drinking beers, eating burgers and talking pirating!
